What is collected

• Server logs. Standard web-server records of requests: IP address, user agent, the page requested and the time. They exist to keep the site running and to spot abuse.
• Analytics. If an analytics tag is present it records aggregate page views and referrers. It is not used to build a profile of you, and browser-level Do Not Track and analytics opt-out settings are respected.
• A filter preference in your own browser. When you filter the catalog, the filter string is kept in your browser’s sessionStorage so that returning from a humidifier page lands you back on the list you were reading. It never leaves your device and it is gone when you close the tab.

What is not collected

No accounts, no email addresses, no advertising network, no cross-site tracking pixels, and no affiliate cookies — there are no retailer links on this site at all, so there is nothing to attribute. Nothing on the site is a paid placement and no money changes hands over what appears here, which is also explained on how we compare.

Fonts and third parties

Typefaces are self-hosted at build time rather than fetched from a font service, so loading a page does not announce your visit to a third party. Pages that link outward — to a manufacturer, a standards body or a retailer’s documentation — send you to sites with their own privacy policies, over which we have no control.

Children

This site is aimed at adults buying household appliances. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
